Monster of the Day #1514

This Spanish/German/Italian co-production is not nearly as good as you’d hope it to be, although it has it’s points. Amusingly, the plot is not that far off from Plan 9 from Outer Space’s, although it’s not quite as close as was Invisible Invaders. Michael Rennie (!) sadly plays the lead alien.

There is a German DVD that supposedly has a very nice print of this, I would like to see that someday.

    Michael Rennie???

    Frankenstein barada nickto!!!

  • bgbear_rnh

Funny how much he looks like Phil Hartman’s doing Frankenstein’s Monster.

  • Beckoning Chasm

He doesn’t look scary at all. In fact, he looks like he’s really calm. I think he would make a good talk-show host.

I would have said its not as bad as it might have been. Michael Rennie must have been short of cash.

  • Flangepart

    Phil Hartman!
And I can’t think of a Hartman quote to use…GAHHHH!…help!

  • Flangepart

This is what I can a ‘house payment’ movie.

  • bgbear_rnh

I am sure you can come up with something “sassy!”

  • bgbear_rnh

    Klatuu, barada, rento

  • Rock Baker

Yeah, you could probably fill a whole book just with Rennie’s appearances as a being from another world!

  • Ericb

This sort of looks like Commander Data at an Enterprise Halloween party.

  • The Rev.

Probably too obvious, but “Fire BAD!!!”

I love the skit where Phil’s playing Frankenstein’s monster where that’s his response to all the questions in the interview, and in a very rare moment he loses it and starts cracking up.

I think he was hanging out with Werworf…
