I wonder if they spent more on this sculpt than Robert Clarke did on the original suit.

I assume it is “The Hideous Sun Demon”, but something seems different. Is it something related?

Can someone else please look at the side by the waist where the shirt is being tossed up? Does it look to anyone else like he’s just plain old human there? Makes me wonder if this is the Hideous Sun Demon, or a doll, er, collector’s figure of someone disguised as the Hideous Sun Demon.

I noticed that too. It looks like he’s wearing a scaly breast plate. Also the Hideous Sun Demon didn’t have horns. He was just a reptile rather than an actual demon.

Maybe it is a tribute to the actor in costume rather than the character in the film.
