Monster of the Day #1281

This monsters seems like something you’d see on The Outer Limit. It starts out human-sized, then is shot down by the Japanese police (with their dinky pistols, too). At this point, surprise, it becomes a giant. Because, you know, Japan.

The miniature amusement park set wont be ready until Tuesday and we must start filming on Monday. What to do?

    Another monster from Ultra Q?

  • Flangepart

That’d be my guess. The weirdness of design beats your average Dr. Who beastie.

  • Rock Baker

Indeed it is. One of the more atmospheric episodes, as I recall.

  • Ultra Q is now streaming for free on Shout Factory’s new Roku channel. Along with at least some of the other Ultra series. They have a ton of cool stuff right now, as long as you don’t mind commercials (which I don’t, since the price is right).

No, I didn’t spend all weekend binge watching Super Sentai Gyuranger on there. Just Saturday.

  • Eric Hinkle

Thank you for letting us know about this!

  • The Rev.

I saw they had that this weekend. No time to watch it yet, though. I have caught a couple Ultra Q episodes, though.

I’ve had some trouble with things freezing up on their channel. Don’t know if you had any issues with it?

  • The Rev.

Yes, this is the Kemur Man, from episode 19, which Ken previously featured as MotD # 1155, albeit in human size only.

  • No problem. It’s by far my new favorite free channel. They just started it up around Thanksgiving.

  • I haven’t had any problems, not since the first week or two it went live.

  • Another cool one.

Oops. Oh, well, I’m still well under my allowed 1% error rate.

  • Gamera977

Thanks! I’ll have to give this a look. I started off on a wild hare the other week of watching ‘In Search Of’ on Youtube. Not as good as I remember as a young kid though…
