Not only a new Mythbusters tonight…

…but another 2 hour special.  On the Discovery Channel, check your guides for the local time it’s playing.  (8:00 here in the midwest, I think.

“In this super-sized, two-hour special, the MythBusters take on new great white shark myths, ramp up classic myths about jet taxis and rocket cars with even more power, and try to waterski behind a cruise ship.”

Mythbusters is reality television, right?  Seems most of what I watch (which isn’t much, really) is.

Well, I think the term “reality television” is a misnomer. We’ve had “reality television” long before the term was invented, it had the unglamorous moniker “documentary.” What is called “reality television” now would best be termed “high maintenance game shows” or “hazing shows.”

Mythbusters is listed in the on-screen guide as “Documentary”. That’s reality TV for brainy people *g*

IMHO the show has been going downhill a bit the last season though I still love it but last week was a return to form. Really looking forward to tonight’s 2 hour episode.

BTW Kari Byron is the hottest woman who ever lived.

When I decide to grow up, I want to work on that show. What other job can you blow crap up at & not be labeled a terrorist?

    The Army?

I knew I went into the wrong branch of the service. Unless you’re on a bomber, there’s not a lot of blowing stuff up in the Air Force.

  • Ericb

Though it might not have the thrilling chaotic quality of military blowing-stuff-up you surely get more quantity by being employed in a demolition crew.
