Monster of the Day #1215

MotD 2015

Clearly he was forewarned, so I don’t know why he fell for Johnny Cage’s trap.

  • He’s pretty handy around the house. Don’t have to mention that he’s armed and dangerous.

And that’s my pun limit for the morning.

Too bad, four arms and he only gets to count up to 12.

I read the review for this yesterday. What I found most startling were the comments about Paul W.S. Anderson and how well he handled the movie.

In his case, I guess talent has an expiration date.

Hate to have his deodorant budget.

  • The Rev.

I knew he was coming today.
The puppetry only really reveals its limitations when Goro has to move quickly; otherwise, particularly in long shots, he looks really good. The long shot of him and Cage on the cliffside is fantastic. I also like that he gets a scene with Kano to kind of establish both of their characters, so they’re not just “guy who killed Sonya’s partner” and “big bad before final boss.”
Fleshing out secondary characters so we actually give a damn about them…what a concept!

    Goro there looks good.

And this may be of interest to some folks here, apparently the original ‘Fantasia’ will be released to theaters this November. I think I’ll be making the effort to see that!
