    Seeing this just makes me appreciate this movie even more. How far can you get on a relatively small budget, short schedule, a lot of creativity and imagination, and a rear projection screen? Well, pretty far.

    At the Earth’s Core, same as yesterday. Ken should be able to get a whole week’s worth of MotD from it; I can definitely think of four monsters from this, and I also want to say there was a carnivorous plant, too. I’m guessing the insta-exploding fire toad will be Friday’s; saving the best for last, as it were.
    I like this guy; he’s like Gappa’s smaller, less feathery, but more mean-looking cousin.

    Just think what Amicus might have been able to do with that imagination and some of the modern SFX technology. Or, say, Eiji Tsuburaya.

    I just hope we get the big monster that starts eating one poor cavemen right before another monster shows up and they start to battle it out. I was hopping up and down for joy when I saw that one as a kid!
