Yes. Yes it is. You can see the metal shaft sticking in the space vampire.
What a great movie.

Hummm…the downside of being a Vamp…being a guy with no ‘Hangin’ downs’, if ya know what I mean.

Interesting so, did they use a little stock footage in Fright Night or is just this collage?

I remember thinking that ending (for Fright Night) was amazing the first time I saw it. The vamp gets blasted across the room by sunlight and fried to ash as it shrieks and howls like a bat from Hades. Great stuff!

Remember, it has to be leaded iron. And not in the heart, but in the energy center two centimeters below the heart.

I think both Fright Night and Lifeforce were made the same year, so using the latter as stock would be problematic…I have to admit, though, it’s been a while since I’ve seen FN.
You would have thought that with all the times I’ve watched that film, I could have gotten the quote right. But nope! Not even close.
Beckoning Chasm
Probably not, as Lifeforce was made in England, and Fright Night was made in California. It may just be that if you’re going to have what looks like a skinned bat, there are only a couple of ways of presenting it.

There was, supposedly, a “too scary” rejected librarian ghost puppet from Ghostbusters used in Fright Night. Most of the same FX crew worked on those. I think Fright Night was probably Boss Films first visual effects credit. They did some awesome stuff in the 80’s/90’s.

Yeah, by that point I already knew I was going to be watching this movie again and again. That was just the final nail in the coffin, so to speak. Just a spectacular ending.

What is this, the fourth Batman reboot?
(Joking, I know it’s Fright Night. Vampires were so much better back then.)
