Monster of the Day #1030

That’s really an amazing practical effect. Good show.

    EWWWWWW…Groose!

  • Beckoning Chasm

That is a good mask. It’s only after looking at it really closely that you can see Amanda Bearse’s real teeth (the bottom set) deep in that mouth.

And the bride just lifted her veil, right? Kidding, I remember this scene. I watched this and my mom was watching it with me, and she never liked horror movies — and before we saw her even she said to the screen, “Kid, you’re a dumb-head to trust her right now!”

I’ll take this over sparkly vamps any day!!!

Personally I this is how I like them, attractive and human on the surface and twisted and monstrous under the facade. I really like how Jim Butcher wrote up the Red Court vamps as basically the same thing- outwardly beautiful or handsome humans and then hideous bat like things when they reveal their true forms.

This is how our cat sees the vet.

  • I retract my earlier comment in favor of something less sexist. You may thank me later.

The first time I saw it, I thought this was overkill. I guess, though, the idea was just to be distinctive.

For me, I tHoughton the most amazing make up job w as s making Amanda Berse look hot.

  • GalaxyJane

Damn, but that was an effective moment, made me jump out of my skin the first time I saw it.

  • Acethepug

Yup. I really miss practical, physical effects these days. And love this movie.
