Monster of the Day #1014

This scene certainly did drag on.

(Damn, I’m funny.)

  • The Rev.

It’s not quite up there with the dragon from The Magic Sword, but it’s pretty nifty nonetheless.

Apparently there’s a great moment where Hargitay has to oversell one of the heads bumping into him to make it look like it forcefully slammed him around. I should find this one sometime soon since I’m not exactly well-versed in these. The Steve Reeves Herc movies and the couple that were on MST3K are about it. Oh, and Maciste in Hell; can’t forget the Devil’s cattle stampede.

  • Flangepart

    The left head looks distracted.

    “ooh, looks guys- Olives!”

  • Gamera977

I was thinking ‘The Magic Sword’ too. Guess there aren’t that many two-headed dragons out there.

  • bgbear_rnh

    Italian filmmakers seem fearless.

  • bgbear_rnh

    are there three heads?

  • Eric Hinkle

It looks like it’s got three heads, doesn’t it? There’s a neck over at the far left side of the screen.

It also looks like the center head managed to snatch some fresh muscleman for dinner.

  • bgbear_rnh

Paleo diet as in that is Herc’s friend Paleo of Crete.

  • Gamera977

I guess it is three-headed at that. Maybe I should say multi-headed? Other than Ghidorah and the hydra from one of the Sidbad movies I can’t really think of that many in film.

  • That…. is… glorious…

  • Rock Baker

If I wanted to see the film before, my interest has increased three-fold now!

  • The Rev.

Yeah, it has three heads. There are shots around the ‘net where you can see it in its full glory.
