Monster of the Day #978

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…not so much.

  • Flangepart

Hummm…extras in the background. But no Louie the Lemur!

  • Gamera977

But it says right there: TERRIFYING!, FANTASTIC!, and STARTLING!

  • Ericb

A TERRIFYING, FANTASTIC and STARTLING IGUANA!

  • bgbear_rnh

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure

  • Gamera977

It’s sad thing is I’d watch that too.

Though a TERRIFYING, FANTASTIC and STARTLING HORNY TOAD would be even better…

  • Gamera977

Thinking more about this movie- doesn’t nuking a T. rex turn it into Godzilla? Did mankind’s run-away technology create an even more formidable threat to the human race?

  • bgbear_rnh

I would hope for a giant mutant kinkajou. It would be one of the cutest kaiju ever.

  • bgbear_rnh

I hope you mean horned toad because I do not like thinking about the other possibility

  • Gamera977

Well I was thinking the older somewhat less PC term for the horned lizard not that it’s ‘randy’.

  • Gamera977

‘I can’t shoot it Sarge- it’s too kawaii!!!’

  • Flangepart

Saw this at Marcon in Columbus. It was the MST3K, and it’s my first impression of the flick…which means riffing away like it’s no tomorrow.

  • mtz

It’s the TERRIFYING, FANTASTIC, and STARTLING
    HORNED TOAD named RANDY!

  • bgbear_rnh

Like your comment, and I apologize for being annoying but, it is Joey.

It’s Joey the Lemur, the friend to mankind,

Our furry sort of monkey friend who really does shine.

  • Rock Baker

After I finally got to see the film again, though, I found it better than I’d been told it was. The score is certainly strong. Cheap movie, but a fun one.

  • Ken_Begg

I must caution commenters again…Jabootu.net has no place for people who just to engage in nickpicking.

  • bgbear_rnh

Joey is a clean lemur and has no nicks to pick ;)

  • Acethepug

Yet another awesome poster that wrote a check the movie couldn’t actually cash :(

And yet still better than Deanzilla!

  • Eric Hinkle

Talking about posters that made bad monster movies look much better, any chance we’ll be seeing the one for KONGA? I saw the DVD box art for it, and wow, you’d think it was another movie entirely from that. One where Konga tears London apart.

  • The Rev.

Overall, it is pretty fun, but those damn lizard fighting scenes ruin it for me. I hate that.

  • Flangepart

Ah! Been a long time since I heard that one. Bet it’s on an MST3K song collection.

  • Rodford Smith

Depending on which movie you believe, Godzilla was originally a harmless herbivore.
