Monster of the Day #968

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy–which is a fantastic, joyful film–over the weekend. While I long ago featured Groot’s first comic book appearance as a beastie in one of Jack Kirby’s monster books from the ’60s, I’ll  stick with that theme. After all, any one of these guys could be international movie stars next.

The next issue featured “NOSTRUM, The Dweller in the Pharmacy!”

    choot, choot, choot!

I am Monstrom … nah, lacks conviction :)

And GotG was a LOT better than I expected, probably the best Marvel movie this year except for the Captain America, the Winter Soldier flick.

Monstrom’s left arm looks like the head of a dinosaur.

  • Gamera977

‘They warned us– but we didn’t believe Monstrom existed!’

Well I hope you listen a little better now MORON, assuming you SURVIVE!!!’

Not a big comic fan but I guess I’ll have to go see GotG- I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews so far.

Monstrum? What a name. Still, it does sound better than ‘Googam, son of Goom’.

Imagine a Star Wars movie built around Han Solo before he met Luke Skywalker. If that sounds like something you’d like to see, you’ll like this movie.

  • bgbear_rnh

I like raccoons so it has got that going for it.

The Lake Erie algae bloom has gained sentience!!!

  • Gamera977

Sounds pretty cool Ken. Funny, speaking of ‘Star Wars’ I watched ‘Battle Beyond the Stars’ the other night so I’m in exactly the right mood.

And yeap I’ve heard the raccoon is a riot.

  • bgbear_rnh

because of “Over the Hedge” I expect the raccoon to talk like Bruce Willis.

  • Flangepart

Man, can imagine the smell? Yee-woo! Hope there’s no relation to jack Schmidt.
