As noted yesterday, Turtle Boy goes to the underwater kingdom of a wee girl fairy princess (or something). She has her own magic pet, who looks vaguely familiar somehow. Note the girl provides a sense of scale for the beastie. Neat!

    I’m curious why you think Rodan is criminally underused. Is that just a favorite of yours? I feel similarly about Gigan, but after King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla (5 apiece) I think it’s had more appearances than any other villainous monster; so I imagine I just feel that way because I like it so much. In fact, Rodan also has five (six if you count his cameo in vs. Megalon) plus a title role.

    Having said that, I would have liked more Manda, especially its original appearance (the version in DAM just looks odd). It’s got two Godzilla movies and Atragon, but none of those appearances are much more than extended cameos so it’s not quite the same.
