Monster of the Day #796

Historically speaking, Monsters from movies entitle Dracula vs. Frankenstein haven’t been that great.

I actually liked this film, and the recent DVD release has finally made a quality print available. Sure, it’s less fun than some other multi-monster b-fests (”

Santo and Blue Demon Against the Monsters” is hard to beat), but it zips along, has some great stock scenes and really wears its 60s/70s decor on its sleeve. Shame they couldn’t have squeezed the written UFO and Golem scenes into the budget.

Would that be the German DVD release? I’ve heard good things.

The movie is undeniably fun, but I don’t think anyone would call that a great Monster make-up. Looks like something done for a sketch comedy TV segment.

you are right, Phil Hartman I believe ;)

(I linked to a picture of Phil in make -up but, got ” moderated”)

Yes, the system really doesn’t like links.

Tonto, Frankenstein (Monster) and Tarzan. Always a funny bit. They probably left Charlie Chan out as dicier.

Tonight on Stand-up Transylvania, it’s the comedy stylings of Frankie M!

  • Rock Baker

One of Peter Sellers’ lesser works…..

    “FIRE BAD!!!”

    God, I miss Phil Hartman.

I didn’t know Scott Bakula had portrayed Frankenstein’s creation before…

I think he looks a bit like Ricardo Montalban. I found ASSIGNMENT TERROR quite a lott of fun, as was DRACULA VS FRANKENSTEIN.
