Monster of the Day #776

We wrap up our re-posts of Readers’ MoD week with this entry from Cullen. Quoteth the man himself:

You have no idea how hard it is for me not to just type “Goodnight!”, hit submit, then run off some place giggling like an idiot. None. That’s my level of humor in a nutshell, folks.

Technically though, what you see above is an Ancient Evil possessing that disinterested baby. I could get into the whole sordid history of what happened in the film, how the infink got the way he is, and so on and so forth, but that would a.) imply that I understood the movie and b.) imply that the movie could be understood at all. My limit is admitting to actually watching it.

Again, I’m tempted to leave it with just the one picture, but as everyone else’s have been playing fair higher quality pieces, I feel obligated to post a second, “better” one. This is, I believe, the same Ancient Evil appearing over the baby’s home. In context, no one is there to see it. It just felt the need do this.

“You people drive Volkwagens? Do I wanna rule a world with Volkswagens? Nah…”

  • I’m glad I could play a small part in the festivities these two weeks, and am grateful to find images from a film that makes everyone else’s picks look even better than the excellent choices they were. It almost makes it worth having to watch this movie to find them.

Well, no. No it doesn’t. Those are scars that’ll never heal. But close enough.

  • Wow. This post is becoming like my blog: Unread by practically everyone.

  • Eric Hinkle

I read it. You chose some nice and incredibly bizarre images for this MOTD.

  • There really should have been a smiley after that last comment of mine. I didn’t mean for it to sound as bad as it seems to now.

  • Gamera977

I commented on everyone’s selections over on the forum so I only commented on other posters comments over here. Sorry, just didn’t have much else to say.

Still pretty darn cool stills, too bad the movie didn’t live up to them.

  • The Rev.

    So what is this?

  • And probably everything that needed to be said was said there, too. I didn’t mean to sound like I was fishing for comments. It was just meant as a commentary on the worth of the movie that didn’t come out right at all.

  • I saw it under the title The Black Cat. It also goes by the name

Demons 6: De Profundis, which is a stitch considering it really wants to be a sequel to Susperia.

  • The Rev.

Okay, then I was wrong; I have no idea why I thought I knew this. Neither of those names ring a bell at all.

Wait, did they name a bunch of movies as sequels to Demons or something?

  • Apparently so. I only knew of the one before this.
