Here's a short article and picture of Johnny Depp's upcoming Lone Ranger movie. Depp is all dolled up in Comanchee war style but the Lone Ranger looks like he stepped out of a Calvin Kein add. Hell, there's not even one speck of dust on his cloths.

The Lone Ranger certainly has some nice clean duds for a guy who roams the west. It's practically a GAP poster for the new Lone Ranger style of clothes.

The fear I have is that they are not going to give the Lone Ranger the Dark Knight treatment. A character who's roots are about a Ranger left for dead in the West and who somehow survives should get a grown up story mixed with some gritty realism. The poster looks like they're going to play it safe and design a movie for all ages.

Capt, I can handle them going either way. The Lone Ranger really isn't much of a well known hero anymore. So, if they went a bit darker that would be fine. Making it another Johnny Depp acts goofy vehicle though might be reaching the breaking point. But, they do have the PotC director for this which means if they go that route the comic delivery should good (PotC IV lacked the timing the other three had).
