The old site seems to be gone now. I checked in and got one of those menus where the name is the same but all the information is gone. Is this permanent? If so.... rats.

Yes, I find it MUCH easier to navigate the old site. There's a note there that says the site is awaiting either renewal or deletion. That tells me the old site can still be saved.
