A page from the most recent episode of Betsy the Bookwriter, a strip I created with Jeff Austin, who provides the inks and letters. Betsy is a struggling writer who dreams herself into the various adventures she cooks up, hoping to stumble onto the idea that will make her a famous novelist. This episode showed her take on space operas. The numerous visual gags have been praised by Betsy's fans, and are said to prompt multiple readings. I just like to throw in whatever amuses me.
