Well, a Kodiak is warm and fuzzy- doesn't make me want to hug one though.

I'd heard that once an animal gets past a certain point it's more of a problem to get rid of excess heat than keep warm. So large mammals like elephants, rhinos, and hippos don't have much body hair. So it seems odd a T. rex relative would be covered in feathers to me unless it lived in a cold climate like a wooly mammoth.

Thanks Eric for the link. Good article and I read though a few of the links. Personally I have no problems with a T. rex cousin living in a cold environment being covered with feathers - kinda cool actually.

Sorta reminds me of 'THE GIANT CLAW!!!'
