    Actually, I vote for ‘Hero of Legendary Status’, myself. Great job all around, but I particularly like the ghosted Jabootu figures sprinkled throughout the pages. May he watch over and bless the site.

    Frankly, I like this template a lot better.  I never liked how the old one crammed everything into the narrow middle of the screen, and made the text size too small.  This template is much more engaging.

  • Ditto. I also find the white backgrounds MUCH easier on the eyes. I guess if I have a complaint (and a minor one it is indeed), it would be that you have to load more comments instead of just being able to scroll down the page and read everything. I’m just wondering if I’ll drop by tomorrow and see yet another page layout!

    Great job getting things back up and running Chris. I too like the new site design. Love the little Jabootus on the background margins. Gotta agree though I’m not crazy about having to click to see each group of five comments.

    Your wish is oftentimes my command! The system will now allow 250 comments before asking you to click for more. Now to find a decent Forum….

    Why would a hacker pick on this site?  I just don’t understand.   But I do like the new look.

    I’m just as shocked, personally.  This is hardly a major site or the bedrock of the internet.  I mean, I love this site dearly and check almost daily, but I can’t fathom why it’d be targeted.  Still, several huzzahs for Chris for not only bringing the site back up, but for throwing in a redesign on top of it.  Jabootu is almost Web 2.0 now!  We’re… like… Web 1.68239!

    With all the work that was done, I feel like a cad suggesting more, but…

    Since the reviews and nuggets here are long-form, would it be possible to truncate on the long lists?  What I mean is, if you click on Reviews, up at the top, the first one listed is Green Arrow chapter 1, and you get the entire review, which is several pages long.  Then the entire Boom! review.  Would it be possible (or even desirable to anyone but me) for the Reviews (and Nuggets) pages to simple have the first paragraph or so and then a “Read the rest” type link.  That way, you could quickly scroll through the latest reviews without scrolling though all of a given review. 

    I mean, imagine if Ken does another monster like The Trial of Billy Jack!

    Now if I can only get onto the Forum. I’ve tried everything I can, but it just doesn’t recognize any of my email addresses.

    Yeah, now we’re dealing with domain highjackers. I apologize to everyone for building the leakiest submarine in the Navy. But it’s got character.

    I believe I’ve solved it, but if anyone wants to cross their fingers, that couldn’t hurt.

I can’t thank you enough for restoring what is sadly my favorite social activity of the day (after all, how many other groups would sit still and pretend they’re listening to me ramble on about whatever movie I’ve just watched? Certainly not my Facebook crowd).

    Will there be any way to click on the “Next” or “Previous” entry as we could on the previous site, or is that what the calendar on the right is going to be for?

    Proving to be tricky with this template. For now, I’ve added recent posts to the sidebar, but I’ve got this on the list. Thanks for the suggestion!

    That recent post thing is actually pretty handy, since it’s usually just the three or four most recent posts that will have new comments.  Plus, we have that recent comments thing over there, too.  I just need to stop be lazy and use them!
