I meant to post this a while ago, but with the site down, I didn’t have the chance. Anyone who’s gone to B-Fest has likely (myself certainly included) sponged off Telstar Man, who most every year arrives with a stack of CDs bearing the most incredible array of movie-related weirdness.
This year he’s asking for a little help doing so, as he posted in our forum:
“It’s getting too expensive for me to get all the stuff I need to put together the giveaway discs at B Fest next year, so I set up a Gofundme campaign to try and get people to kick down for them. Usually a substantial number of Fest attendees offer money for their mix discs, but this time I’m trying to get paid up front (among other things, the CD copies of the CAN’T STOP THE MUSIC soundtrack are priced well out of my range on Amazon and largely nonexistent elsewhere).
http://www.gofundme.com/ya4m4m5ds is the URL for the campaign.
People who contribute $5 will get a guaranteed copy of the 2016 mix disc, either to be picked up at B Fest or mailed to any continental US address. People who contribute $35 or more will get a full set of the 2002-2011 and 2013-2016 discs (I did not make a 2012 disc because the world ended).
Thank you for your time. Currently I’m $110 short of my goal and hoping to wrap up the fundraiser at the end of August. Please consider kicking in a fiver if you can.”
He’s already reached his goal, but a little more never hurts, and even a buck dropped in his direction will show support for his noble endeavors. His fundraiser ends very soon now, so drop by if you feel like it.
