Guys and gals, I'm on a bit of a werewolf kick right now. This is a list of the films I own:

The Wolfman
The Wolfman (Hammer film with Oliver Reed)
The Howling
An American Werewolf in London
Dog Soldiers

Can anyone add any more good werewolf films to this?

Thanks!

Yes, I was talking about this with a friend recently; there aren't a ton of good werewolf movies. And I'm not a fan of AWiL, either. I guess I'd toss in Werewolf of London. I've only heard good things about Ginger Snaps and its sequels.

The Hammer movie is Curse of the Werewolf.

Thanks Ken,

I forgot about Ginger Snaps, heard a lot of good about it too, will have to give it a try next time I order some DVDs.

Guess I should have specified my copy of the Wolfman is the boxed set, so it has Werewolf of London on it too.

I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF
THE WEREWOLF (1956)
DAUGHTER OF DR. JEKYLL (really, it mixes Hyde, werewolves, and vampires into one creature, so it's a triple threat!)
FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN
HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN
HOUSE OF DRACULA
LEGEND OF THE WEREWOLF

RE: Daughter of Dr. Jekyll

Best transformation sequence ever.

Thanks guys, completely forgot about 'Wolf' and 'I Was a Teenage Werewolf'.

'Wolf' is the one where a lycanthopic Jack Nickelson pees on his rival's shoes isn't it?

Never heard of 'Daughter of Dr. Jekyll' - the transformation scene is even better than 'The Howling'? I've got to see this then!

Yes, that's WOLF. Nice choice.

I think the best transformation scene is found in THE UNDYING MONSTER (although it isn't the best werewolf movie ever). When my brother and I screened the film, we both looked at each other to confirm that we'd actually seen what we just saw!

I'm a fan of HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, although that may fall outside the area you're looking for. Ditto BLOOD OF DRACULA, the female vampire redo of I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF.

A fun comedy with a werewolf in it (sort of) is HAUNTED HONEYMOON.

RE: Undying Monster transformation sequence.

Was it similar to Daughter, where the actor appeared to grow fur without the benefit of time lapse photography?
