Monster of the Day #3627

Father Time. The one monster who *always* wins.

Still enough time for a Watch Party this week, though. (I mean, probably.) 7:45 CST this week.

  • Jeez is that a creepy image.

Tonight's blue ray review comes from a special guest–

"Hi kids. Count Floyd here, welcoming you to another episode of Monster Chiller Horror Theatre! [howls, laughs] Oh, we got a really good one this time, kids, I'm not fooling you. I know sometimes the movies, er, stink, but this one got a Special Mention at the Greater Southern Pittsburgh Fear-Fest! They don't fool around down there!

"Now, Count Floyd hasn't seen this one, but just listen to this cast: Woody Tobias Jr as 'a perpetually grunting man-freak-beast dressed in Nazi-garb semi-terrorizes the French countryside.' Ooo hoo hoo! That sounds like it will scare you right out of your tennis shoes! Also in the cast are Lola Heatherton, Pirini Scleroso, Bill Needle with a shotgun, and a cast of…more!

"So come on kids, settle down, and let's watch DEVIL STORY! [howls, laughs]"

    Ugh. I HATE that "movie."

  • The Rev.

Everyone who isn't Arthur or Red Letter Media hates that "movie."

So I need to try and avoid whatever level of mental trauma they suffered to reach that point.

  • I'll try to check in, but we will be in Lexington to pick up Sean for Thanksgiving break the next morning.

  • Must not rush out and by that movie must not rush out and buy that movie…

  • Eric Hinkle

Travel safely and have a happy Thanksgiving.

  • Ken_Begg

I hope to see you there. In any case, have a great time with Sean!

If nothing else, it makes the works of Bruno Mattei look like well-constructed stories of logic, coherence and consistence. And I maintain, it would be the perfect subject for MHCT, with cutaways to an increasingly exasperated Count Floyd. And it would not surprise me to learn that the mutant performance was modelled on Eugene Levy's Bruno.
