Should anyone wish to see a better view of that black spider-monkey-man creature, I'll be posting a shot of it (and the other suits) on Baker's Log this weekend.

That's Magma, the giant walrus that was cut completely from the American release of GORATH. It also turns up in an episode of ULTRA-Q, which never made it to the States either. An odd choice, one hardly any American would have a connection to, but it's what Kyle wanted to do!

Actually, GORATH is one of the harder ones to come across. I think it's actually easier to track down copies of the Japanese print. I'm still looking for an American print, though. In a way, I can see why the walrus was snipped, since it comes completely out of nowhere and sort of screws with the flow of the film. On the other hand, it's hard to figure why a distributor would cut out a monster he could put on the posters!

Don't feel bad, I haven't seen that one either. I need to get ahold of Yog as well. Thunder of Gigantic Serpent, too, since that was brought up recently.
