We followed the surprisingly opulent Demon of Mount Eo with a cheapie independent made by some small town locals somewhere. (New Jersey, in this case.) I’m sure I don’t have to introduce 1983’s The Deadly Spawn to anyone here. The film is a perfect example of how when people who love monster movies make one, the knowledge and affection they bring to the project can outweigh inexperience, technical limitations and a lack of money. We watched the film via a nifty blu ray, and all were well pleased.
