As noted, I liked the "Doctor lives on Earth fighting aliens with UNIT" years the best. Also, I never warmed up overmuch to either of the two Romanas. I don't hate them, certainly, but they are no Leela, much less a Sarah Jane. The early Tom Baker years featured the best companion, the best…
