Oh, it's a trapdoor spider.

You can never have too many cool tree monsters. I know this looks surprisingly great for a sword and sandal film, but it was designed and built by Carlos Rambaldi, so there you go.

This scene certainly did drag on. (Damn, I'm funny.)

One of the few monster you can defeat with an Atra.

This is from a kind of film I really need to delve more deeply into.

So...they're marooned under the sea? With flamethrowers and octopi in breathing helmets? I'm not really following this.
