Monster of the Day

This issue was raised yesterday, but this is a clearer example. I love the puckish sense of humor of Amok Time's B-Movie figures, as indicted by the gap revealing the ankle of the "actor" playing the monster here. That's just fabulous.

I wonder if they spent more on this sculpt than Robert Clarke did on the original suit.

Toys have gotten significantly better since I was a kid. Amok Time does a nice line of 12 inch B-movie monsters, although they are a bit pricey. Pick your poison, folks. Last night, due to G-Fest being in town, I was able to see The Green Slime in a big old theater. I don't want to oversell it, but it's pretty much the greatest movie in cinema history.
