This show is so great. The tones of the episodes are all over the place, so it never gets repetitive. This is one of the kiddie surrealistic comedy adventures. Great stuff.

You can never have too many cool tree monsters. I know this looks surprisingly great for a sword and sandal film, but it was designed and built by Carlos Rambaldi, so there you go.

Son of Frankenstein & Guest Star in Chicago….
Well, in Park Ridge, actually. My old library friend Matt Hoffman now hosts a classic movie once a month at the historic Pickwick Theater. This month it's Son of Frankenstein, with Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi (in arguably his best role), Basil Rathbone and Lionel Atwill. Matt will be flying in on his own dime…
