As probably some of you know, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes now do a YouTube podcast / talk show called Dropping Names. The guest for each show is often (as you’d think) a Star Trek veteran.
Well, they got the biggest such get last week when they talked to William Shatner last week. If you’re a Star Trek guy it’s well worth a look.
What struck me during the ten minutes I watched was that, as can be seem above, Shatner basically looks the same age as Frakes and Spiner. I guess you could argue that at some point you just look generically “old.” But there’s the thing: Frakes is 74. Spiner is 77.
Shatner is 95.
95! I defy you to tell me Shatner looks 20 years older than the other two. He’s also insanely cogent for a guy of that age who’s talking for an hour straight. God bless the man.
