I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but Seeds of Doom is a near perfect 6 parter. Most arcs of that length consist of a lot of wheel-spinning. They avoided that by opening with a side story that then fed into the larger narrative. This worked quite well, and yet they seldom employed that strategy…
