Monster of the Day #3994

Sunday was quite a smorgasbord. We started with Chinese martial arts film Fight for Survival (1977), moved on to the extremely meta Thai western / tragic romance film Tears of the Black Tiger (2000), and then I showed a weirdly obscure comic horror movie Bloodbath at the House of Death (1984), It’s hit and miss, but hits often enough to be reasonably entertaining. The highlight is the appearance of a comically pissy immortal coven leader played by Vincent Price. He’s probably only in there about 10 minutes, but hey, it’s ten minutes of gold. Even Sandy liked it, and he usually disdains comic horror films because he’s just rather watch a straight horror film. He gave this one the thumb’s up, though.
