Monster of the Day

Since I'll be on Texas Hiatus as of Wednesday, might as well continue with Puppet Master.

That's a pretty sweet design. The shot was much better composed than this, a nice widescreen shot (to emphasize the small size of the puppet, probably). I cut it down to focus on this fellow more.

Sadly, the puppet I most closely resemble. aka, Marlon Brando, the Later Years.

We've never really given Charles Band enough love on these pages, so let's pay a little homage to that fine gent, who gave us many, many hours of cheezy enjoyment in the '80s.

Sorry for the late post, everyone (especially Jamie). I was off today for last Saturday, and slept late, and then got distracted. Hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully I'll see some of you in Rockwall / Dallas in two weeks (!!!!!!). If anyone needs a place to crash, I'm sure Sandy can…

OK, that is not the most frightening giant ape I've ever seen.

Man, that's just a gorgeous cover. You might want to skip the plot description, though. It fails to enhance the majesty of the art. I have to get this one in first, though: "Those dammed Beaver Men!" See what I did there?  

Our first inclination is to be a smart ass and note that this is a 'harmless' herbivore. On the other hand, hippos kill more people than any other animal in Africa. On the third hand, you'd think they'd leave you alone if you left them alone, so again, it's pretty much on Turok here.
