Saw Shin Godzilla on Saturday, and liked it quite a bit. Oddly, considering the main complaint of the latest American Godzilla was that the star didn't have enough screen time, this Godzilla might have had even less. Still, a very solid effort at a revisionist films all around.

Yep, it's Ye Olde Haunted Object time. Hey, it's economical, right. You know what else was economical back in 1990? Nudity! It seems at least a few of the film's three (!) sequels also featured The Cheapest Special Effect.

Nudity was so much more common in these things back in the day. This softcore riff on Beauty and the Beast was quite popular on cable, as I recall, probably because its female (and much nude) starlet was one of the main cast on the big TV hit Twin Peaks.

I saw this in theaters back in the back. It was well enough made, but it has one of those endings I just hate. For a lot of bizarre factors, the Cubs game last night was allowed to end in a tie. You don't see that in baseball very often.
