As Marsden noted yesterday, this guy clearly seems a nod to Thor's very first antagonists, a race of Thing-like aliens seen below. Man, there were a lot of alien invaders in those days. I still miss the whole Don Blake thing, but that's just me showing my age. Still, the whole bit of Blake…

This reminds me of the fight with Harryhausen's walrus. Again, monsters have been fairly light on the ground in the Marvel movies, although there's enough fantasy stuff in it to feature some briefly. Sadly, no Fin Fang Foom or anything, yet. Well, Groot, but he's a good guy now, and not nearly as giant.

At this exact moment, I'd say running away would be a good option. It's not a popular opinion, but I think that Jack Kirby was a pretty decent artist. I really miss the color palette from those days, especially the super-vivid browns and oranges. The Thing really looked fabulous on the FF covers back…

Wow, hard to see a bunch of Millennials attacking this guy with sticks. Indeed, they'd still be shooting selfies at this point. Apparent mad scientist "Vandoom" ran into all sorts of copyright issues too.
