Jabootu's Bad Movie Dimension

Oh, the monster isn't the robot. The gas prices are. This is happening in California.

Kitty! The first Discord Watch Party of 2026 will be held the Friday. Wheee!

I doubt this is a surprise to anyone. First, its absence the rest of the week has been obvious. Second, I've stated several times over the years that this is my all-time favorite Ray Harryhausen sequence--which is saying something. Man, that crab is great. This is surely because Mr. Harryhausen used a real crab…

Beckoning Chasm mentioned this the other day, it's the post-apocalyptic Love and Monsters (2021). This is the good CGI I was referring to earlier. Considering how bad the CGI in films made by Disney and Warner's for hundreds of millions of dollars can occasionally be, the level CGI here is pretty impressive. Admittedly, a…

Merry Christmas, everyone! Thanks to all of you for continuing to come to what is, I must admit, a basically dormant site. Thanks especially for those poor souls who join me on my inept Discord Watch Parties. It's a cumbersome mechanism for those, but while I sometimes lament the loss of the far niftier Amazon…

Christmas is in two days. Crazy.

Galaxy Jane and her husband Jamie were nice enough to send me this picture from their wedding, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.We had the final Discord Watch Party of 2025 last Friday. It's awkward to do it (as all things on Discord seem to be), but I figured out how…
