Monster of the Day #401

Surprisingly hard to find a decent picture of this guy.

  • The Rev.

He looks like he’s about to say, “DERP!!”

I always found it odd that he ate a flower.  Godzillasaurus was a herbivore?  I reeeeeeally doubt it.

  • Flangepart

“Doc, how come my burps taste like brimstone?”

Well, even meat eaters need roughage, Rev.

  • Anonymous

Annoying, but at least he does sorta look like daddy.

Still my nephews Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello are still much cooler!

  • Ericb

    Hey babe, how ya doin’?

  • Jeez, who let him near the Soma berries?

  • Rock Baker

And yet, this was one of the better 90’s episodes…..

  • Is this Godzilla’s middle school photo?

  • The Rev.

If we include all of the Heisei-era films (there were two made in the ’80s), then I’d put it in a very close race w/ Godzilla vs. Biollante as best of the run.  I’m not sure which I’d pick for best if pressed; I’d need to sit down and watch them back to back (haven’t seen either in a few years.)

  • Rock Baker

If it came down to a choice between the two, I think I’d go with Biollante, if only because it seemed fresher and less crowded. Competing for third place (in my charts, anyway) would be Godzilla 1985 and Destroyer. Way back at the bottom of the list would be Space Godzilla, talk about a misfire!

  • The Rev.

Yeah, Destroyer would be third, but I’d probably put King Ghidorah over ’85, if for nothing else than that excellent final fight.  Then Mothra (although the final three-way fight is a favorite from the Heisei run–I LOVE the kamikaze Ferris wheel attack) and finally Spacegodzilla.

Who was his mother ?  Come to that, who was the mother of Son of Kong – Fay Wraye ?

Good question. If the G species is egg laying reptiles, perhaps they stay ‘fresh’ for a long time after laying. That would include the Rodan/Radon species as well, methinks.
