Monster of the Day #341

“Snausages!”

  • Flangepart

VAMPIRE TADPOLES FROM JERSY. Tonight on Svengooli.

  • The Rev.

I found this movie to be better than I’d been led to believe. (Assuming, of course, I’m right on which movie this is; but I’m pretty sure I’m right, as the critters were pretty distinctive.) Anyway, it was a tad slow in places, but overall I found it fun. I thought the critters were pretty adorable, too.

Boys and girls take warning, if you go near the lake
Keep your eyes wide open, and look for sneaky snake
Now maybe you wont see him, maybe you wont hear
But he’ll sneak up behind you, and drink all your root beer

And then sneaky snake goes dancin, wigglin and a-hissin
Sneaky snake goes dancin, gigglin and a-kissin
I dont like old sneaky snake, he laughs too much you see
When he goes wigglin through the grass, it tickles his underneath

Well, sneaky snake drinks root beer, and he just makes me sick
When he is not dancin, he looks just like a stick
Now, he doesnt have any arms or legs, you cannot see his ears
And while we are not lookin’, hes stealin all of our beer

And then sneaky snake goes dancin, wigglin and a-hissin
Sneaky snake goes dancin, gigglin and a-kissin
I dont like old sneaky snake, he laughs too much you see
When he goes wigglin through the grass, it tickles his underneath

Is this the critter from “The Boogens”?

Or the one from stephen king story with the sub-basements under the old wool factory that’s like a giant mutated bat or rat that the guy grinds up tail first in the woll seperator?

  • The Rev.

JC: My guess was The Boogens as well.

  • Rock Baker

The Boogens, I believe. Not a bad movie, I thought, considering they had a premise that had to be stretched with a lot of character stuff in order to fill a feature run time. I’ll have to dig this one out when it turns off cold…….

  • John Campbell

It holds a special place for me as a young boy. was my first time seeing a movie with a girl…a those were the days.

I always thought it was a good premise.

  • Gamera

Krap, looked like a snake to me, my apologies…

  • I admit I have not seen the Boogens. Probably way too wholesome for the likes of me. Yesterday I watched a film called “Devil Fetus” and it was all that I could have dreamed it would be.

  • Rock Baker

Not sure if that’s supposed to make me laugh, or slowly inch my way to the door.

  • sandra

This looks a bit like the Fluke Monster in that classic X-Files episode.

  • The Rev.

Okay, I need to see a movie called Devil Fetus. Seriously. Bring that to the next T-Fest.

  • I only have a crappy DVD-R version of Devil Fetus. But honestly, that’s probably the best way to view the movie. It gives the proper seedy vibe.

  • John Campbell

Let’s see, Sandy is a friend of Jabootu. He creates gsmrs based on Cthulu.

Devil Fetus watching just seems kind of tame in comparison.

Those boogens looked like tentacled turtles with teeth considering that they’ve got scaly skin and a shell-like body with tentacle arms.
