Bob Newhart Alert!

The Bobster will be appearing on NCIS tonight, apparently as David McCallum’s mentor, or something. Anyway, it’s always good to see Newhart getting work.

    Nice to know an old pro is still getting work. I remember how thrilled my whole family was to see James Whitmore pop up in an episode of C.S.I. (Granted, we might not have felt so enthused had any of us ever seen The Harrad Experiment.)

  • It’s always great to see Bob. Actually I was pleased to see David McCallum when he first appeared on NCIS. I remembered him well from “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and “The Outer Limits” episode “The Sixth Finger”. Some great TV memories from when I was in elementary school. TV was everything back then (well, that and Saturday matinees)

    We watched this episode and it is incredible. I will do my best not to spoil anything. Yes Bob is still funny as hell, but there is a dramatic aspect to his role I don’t think I’ve ever seen Bob Newhart do and it shows that the man still has what it takes. He and david mccallum together are dead on scene stealers.

    The fiancee and I are both huge Bob Newhart fans.

    I hope you all get to see this.

    Plus NCIS is just hads down good TV!
