On this day, and all days, God bless and watch over our fighting men and women overseas. May they return safely to their families and a grateful nation soon.

  • I know what its like to be overseas at Christmas. Stuck in the middle of the desert in 1990 sucked heartily. Hope all those men and women over there now come home alive.

    Due to some problem at the Warner Brother’s on-line store I’ve been waiting for the DVDs I’d ordered when Ken posted their five DVDs for fifty bucks sale for over a month now.

    Well, Santa came by on a big brown truck Christmas Eve with my very own copies of ‘The Green Slime’, ‘The Bermuda Depths’, ‘Wild, Wild, Planet’ and two other films. I have to admit I didn’t wait for Christmas morning to open them!

    I got “Slime,” “Bermuda,” “From Hell,” “Stranger Within,” and “Penn and Teller Get Killed.”

  • Super! In the past I had already gotten From Hell, Bermuda–obviously, since I’ve reviewed it–and Razorback (and some others I can’t recall). This time I got two copies of Legends of the Superheroes (one a gift), Captain Sinbad, Hypnotic Eye, The Canterville Ghost, Green Slime, War of the Planets, Wild Wild Planet, Story of Mankind and The Amazing Captain Nemo. Then because I got the coupon for the late shipment, I ordered a set of six obscure thrillers from the ’30s.

    I’m hoping they sold enough extra copies during the sale that they consider lowering their prices permanently.

    Ah krap, didn’t see it! The other two I ordered were ‘God is My Co-Pilot’ and ‘War of the Planets’ (forgot the title when I posted from work earlier).

    Well, because of the delayed order they sent me a coupon too. It’s good till the end of January so I’ll have to hit their site again for ‘FHiC’ and anything else that looks good (or bad enough to be entertaining). I’ll give the others you guys listed a look Ken and BC.

    Isn’t it odd that I feel all left out because mine were delivered on time, so I didn’t get a coupon?

    Most of the ones I got were from reviews either here (Slime, From Hell, Bermuda) or Lyz Kingsley’s site (Stranger, Slime). Penn and Teller’s film is…Penn and Teller. If you like them, you’ll like the film; if you don’t, the film won’t change your mind (though you do get to hear Teller speak).
