Sandy Petersen I saw this film at the age of 11 and it was pretty clearly the greatest film ever constructed by the hand of man. Then I re-watched it last year and it held up in its greatness. Some parts were even better, as at 11 yaars, I didn’t fully appreciate the Martian’s plan. The Rev. I’ve never seen this, and the only image I’d seen of this guy was over at the Bad Movie Report. Said image was pretty dark and blurry, and this is not at ALL what I thought he looked like. He looked menacing in that other picture. Here…he looks like some weird-ass Muppet. Like a Skeksis that had its face melted off. BeckoningChasm It looks like they forgot the kitchen sink. Not-So-Great Cthulhu I loved this movie as a kid and watched it every time it was on. In hindsight, I suspect that the fact I did so caused my parents to wonder where they’d gone wrong. Rock Baker Mull looks a bit better in the film itself, where he’s shot in dark, gloomy surroundings as opposed to the stark white background he’s standing in here. The biggest improvement though is that he doesn’t have those wild, bugged out eyes in the movie. On film, he has beedy little eyes, the actor’s own, and strikes a much more menacing picture. I’m guessing the eyes here are like the Invasion of the Animal People/Terror in the Midnight Sun’s giant yeti’s claws, used in test shots but too unweildy to properly move around and were so dropped before filming? The flick itself is pretty wild, but the title makes it a must-see. Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster! What a great title, it sells itself! “We have done well, Nadier.” Tork_110 Isn’t that She-Ra’s main nemesis? The Rev. Rock: You know, I wondered about the eyes; as I said, in the still I saw before, he looked more menacing and his eyes were nothing like these. Tork: Ooooh, good call! His head DOES look like Hordak’s! sandra So, what movie are we talking about here ? The Rev. Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster. Rock Baker In FUTURAMA!
