Don’t forget that this is out next Tuesday:

And I don’t think I mentioned before that another old Jabootu classic has hit DVD, with a pretty nice presentation, considering. I’ve got a copy and it’s sweet. Marvel to arguably the silliest killer robot of all time! And you even get an excruciatingly boring Italian space opera as a bonus! All for $7.50!

Which english audio is on the Gamera movie? The soundtrack from War of the Monsters or Sandy Frank’s lame dub, or a whole new one like the laughably bad dub supplied for the recent DVD issue of The Mysterians?

At least the 60s Dragnet is availble by the season (as opposed to the 50s series which has fallen into public domain and has been given scattershot releases on several incomplete sets by assorted cheapo outfits), I owe so much to that show for building my character and sense of right over wrong. What about the movies, from 54 and 66, are they availible yet?

Eventually I’ll be picking up that Supersonic Man/War of the Robots combo if only because it has War of the Robots, and I like Italian space operas (not that I could say why that’s the case). I notice Supersonic Man is so bad that they’re trying to pass it off as a spoof. Either way, I’ve seen neither flick so I have to add this release to my collection (Current estimate: 1,835 titles. How far am I behind you, Ken?).

Actually, it’s Jon Pertwee (no “h”).

Also, for some reason, all the links just link to a generic Amazon ad for me. This means that your “Don’t forget that this is out next Tuesday:” thing is lost on me, since I can’t see what “this” is…

The ‘this’ that’s out Tuesday is the newest MST3K set, the one mentioned in the post at the bottom of the ‘latest posts’ list. When I dropped by earlier, the pictures would show up.

    Whoops, the pictures are back!

I can’t seem to comment at Jabootu any more, otherwise I would have told you about the “Outer Limits” sale at Amazon.

  • BC — I was actually setting up a link to it, but as I was doing so the supply was already 20% gone in like four minutes. So I figured by the time anyone saw the link the sale would be over.

Good to see the show has that many fans.

  • If you mean actually titles, I might still be ahead. (So a set of movies might represent five or six different titles.) If you mean collections equal one ‘title’, you’re actually probably ahead of me.

  • Rock Baker

I meant individual titles, including serials and TV specials like The Year Without a Santa Claus. I don’t pretend that I can compete with a professional collection like yours, but I’m always curious as to how I’m doing.

  • fish eye no miko

    Oh, there they are!
    Oooh. MST… I think I’m actually a set behind… [sigh]

  • The Rev. D.D.

Well, I’m now 17 sets behind, so you’re definitely ahead of the curve.
