Last Friday’s watch party, the fifth and last for Spooktober 2026, was William Castle’s The Night Walker. Starring Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor, years after their divorce, it’s pretty fun. The lack of Vincent Price keeps it from reaching the heights of House on Haunted Hill or The Tingler, but aside from some wheel-spinning in the third act, it went down pretty easy. Everyone loved the harpsichord score by Vic Mizzy.
