I never even heard of this one, I came across the trailer on YouTube. It’s a Fort Worth made flick called Through the Fire, filmed in 1986. Two years later it had a brief local theatrical run in one theater. Then it apparently sat around for nearly ten years before appearing on video as The Gates of Hell II: Dead Awakening. This is pretty funny, since it makes it sound like a sequel to Fulci’s The Gates of Hell. The Italians pulled that sort of thing all the time with American films, so a little payback seems in order.
Talk about a generic demon, though! Could have come from several dozen films in the 1980s.
