Sadly, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein (surely a lifelong dream of his) was made for Netflix. It is getting a limited theatrical release starting today, but will be in theaters shortly and not playing everywhere. Why? I don’t know. Also, Netflix is premiering it next week, because, you know, why would you release an expensive, gothic horror movie on your service before Halloween? In any case, if you want to see the film on a big screen, all two and a half hours of it, check it out as soon as you can.
