Yesterday, I listed some Universal classics presently available on Amazon Prime. Yet I could almost hear some of you protesting, “Ken, we’re young hep cats who don’t grok those cheesy old movies! We want something more, like, Now!, man, more up to date and with it!”
Luckily, Prime is prepared for such heresy, as they have stocked up on a ton of films starring the much younger actor Vincent Price: House on Haunted Hill. The Raven. Pit and the Pendulum. War Gods of the Deep. Conqueror Worm. Dr Phibes Rises Again (but not the original?). Theater of Blood (probably my favorite Price film.) The Comedy of Terrors. Diary of a Madman. Tales of Terror. Scream and Scream Again. House of Long Shadows (not great but it has Price, Lee, Cushing AND John Carradine). Master of the World. The Oblong Box. Cry of the Banshee. Fall of the House of Usher. Last Man on Earth. The Haunted Palace. Tomb of Ligeia (one of the best of the Poes). Twice Told Tales. Hopefully that will be enough to get you going.
Happy Friday, everyone. Halloween one week from today! Discord Watch Party tonight! Watch something spooky this weekend.
