The second film in the Daiei Gothic set is The Snow Woman (1968). Snow Woman go back a way in Japanese folk lore, and pop up in other media like manga and anime. Interviews with Monster Girls for instance. Any man who meets them risks being mesmerized and then frozen solid. I think I’ll give these a look this weekend.
