The dearth of American product, resulting from the lingering Covid shutdowns along with the eminently self-destructive labor strikes last year, have resulted in far more weirdness hitting your multiplexes. This is all good except for the fact that it’s eventually going to put a lot of theaters out of business.
Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One Minus Color return to theaters next Friday, November 1st. If you haven’t seen them on the big screen, man, what are you waiting for. And if you haven’t seen Minus Color in a theater, that’s a 10 star recommendation from me. I loved Minus One, but Minus Color is even better. And because they are second run, the ticket I bought cost $7 instead of $16 plus.
A bountiful time for weebs. I have pre-sell tickets for Kiki’s Delivery Service (tomorrow), Godzilla Minus One Minus Color (next Friday), and Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom for the Friday after that. I’m feasting well.
Playing at my local 18 screen complex next weekend:
Two Bollywood action movies
One Hollywood Blockbustery type of deal (Venom the Last Dance)
Two old movies, Coraline and Here (?), with a young Tom Hanks and Robin Wright
Some Independent Stuff; Lost On a Mountain on Maine, Anora, The Carpenter
A cheapie kid’s cartoon, Hit Pig!
and Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One Minus Color
Yikes! Theaters, it was nice knowing you
