Phil Spector found (duh) guilty…

The murderer of Lana Clarkson, star of such B-movies as Barbarian Queen, has thankfully not escaped justice.  Here’s hoping he doesn’t do two years in a Club Fed and gets out right away.

Here’s hoping Ms. Clarkson rests a bit easier.

I watched Barbarian Queen last night in honor of this. It made the passing of Marilyn Chambers a little less sad.

  • I think you meant Lana Clarkson, but yes, good to know she’s gotten a small bit of justice. The story is incredibly sad, though. She’d literally just met Spector hours earlier, and he had an established history of threatening women with guns. Of course, Clarkson probably didn’t know that, and I’m sure she never would have believed she was in some sort of danger. Frankly, I wish they were frying him, but hopefully he spends the rest of his like in prison (although I doubt it).

I only know of Phil Spector what I read in a Tom Wolfe article from the 60s, and going by that alone Spector really didn’t seem the type. The mousy little guy who’s afraid to fly apparently developed a few nasty habits.

Sorry for the confusion. What I was getting at was knowing that Lana had received some justice, softened the blow a little bit upon finding out Marilyn Chambers had passed away yesterday.

  • My apologies. I only heard about Ms. Chambers after I read your note. It hadn’t been posted in her IMDB info at that point.

I’m always glad when a California jury actually locks up a famous murderer or pedophile. It doesn’t happen often enough. I couldn’t believe Scott Peterson got what he deserved; I guess it’s just lucky he wasn’t famous BEFORE he murdered his pregnant wife and dumped her in the bay.

Can he take the Wall of Sound with him to prison?
