Monster of the Day #3446

Not a fan of the movie (I generally detest Shane Black stuff), but this fan-made poster is dynamite. Just not the kind of dynamite that Dracula apparently would throw around.

If the film caught a even bit more of the charm of this art, I’d like it a lot more.

  • Oh, good, I always feel like the only person who doesn’t like this movie and has no fond, warm, childhood nostalgia for the the whole crude mess. OK, I’ll admit Duncan Regehr (which I have probably misspelled) is a striking Dracula, but that’s it.

  • The Rev.

This is one of those movies I didn’t see at the target age, and never got around to. I did end up seeing Saturday the 14th a couple years ago, which was mildly amusing, I suppose. If this movie is anything like that, I’m fine continuing not to see it.

    Love the poster, though.

  • I remember loving this as a kid. As an adult, I find the kids too irritating and I don’t think I made it past the 30 minute mark. Which is a shame, as I think I own it on DVD. Or maybe Blu Ray. Which is the more depressing option; that’s probably the one I picked.

  • Eric Hinkle

I must be the only person left who still likes this film, flaws and all. Or maybe it’s just sheer perversity after reading online reviews shrieking about how mean and not-nice it is.

  • Gamera977

I feel weird in having never seen it. I guess I should give it a chance but everyone seems to hate it so I keep putting it off.
