Comment on B-Fest 2009 here…

BFest 2009! What a treasure of memories and moments from yet another BFest that I wasn’t able to attend! Though I’m a pretty poor correspondent, let me try to hit some of the highlights.

Day 1 – Meeting Day! This is an exciting and emotional time, as old friends renew their friendships, and new friendships are formed! Here, before the lights of the festival, the lights of “Good Fellowship” shine down upon us all. What memories!

Day 2 – The biggest day of the year, as everyone gathers to watch movies! The laughs, the loves, the snacks! Many couldn’t believe the wonders they beheld that day! But we all know it couldn’t have been a dream–that would be way too cheap for a plot device! Or was it? Ha ha ha!

Day 3 – the day of parting, but unlike other partings, this sadness is tempered with the knowledge that everyone shared in the grandest time to be held anywhere on the planet. Smiles beam, hands are shaken, discreet hugs are issued, and it all ends with a promise to meet again next year! Yes! Excelsior! And we turn off the slide projector once again to keep the bulb fresh!

Well, that’s how I imagine it all went. One of these years, by golly, I’m going to attend one of these things…

And I, too, will someday make it to one. I’d like to think 2010 will be my year, at long last, but we’ll see.

At least I have the comfort of T-Fest to look forward to…
